Tulasigiri is a popular sacred spot which is arranged at around 16 kms from Bagalkote. This spot is renowned for the Hanuman sanctuary which is oftentimes visited by a great many piligrims. The god here is self advanced (udbhav murti) and itwas introduced again by SHRI VEDANTA DESHIKACHAR in eleventh century who was a devotee of SHRI RAMANUJACHARYA. 


Later on this symbol was again re-introduced by SHRI VYASARAJARU in fifteenth century in a similar spot. This symbol is about 6.5 feet tall and it has three Namas like the god, LORD SRINIVASA in Tirumala. This demonstrates the presence of LORD SRINIVASA in the nama of this HANUMAN symbol. 


When a pontiff called PRASANNA VENKATADASA was living here and he used to visit TIRUMALA consistently for darshan. As he went downhill, it was impractical for him to venture out to TIRUMALA. The present circumstance made him stressed. On a night when he was alseep, LORD SRINIVASA showed up in his fantasy and educated him not to stress and he can visit Tulasigiri HANUMAN as opposed to visiting TIRUMALA in light of the fact that LORD SRINIVASA's essence is in the nama on HANUMAN's temple here. 


The fundamental archaka in this sanctuary is from Ahobilam in Andhra Pradesh which is renowned for LORD NARASIMHA. There is a little symbol of LORD NARASIMHA likewise which is self developed in this sanctuary. Separated structure this, there is presence of LORD SUDARSHANA at the rear of HANUMAN's object of worship and furthermore the presence of UDUPI SHRI KRISHNA in this icon.
